ITINERARY
DAY 1: CUSCO – Sayllapata – SORAYPAMPA (Salkantay trek)
We start this day at 05:00 am, we’ll pick up you from your Hotel in Cusco to begin our journey by bus tour through high Andean villages, approximately at 09:00 am we’ll arrive at Mollepata where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast, from this point we’ll begin to walk to reach Tres Cruces (Tree cross), where we’ll have lunch with a spectacular view of the Limatambo Valley, continue our trek to Markokasa and Choquekiclla, from this point we can see the Salkantay and Humantay Apus (Name for respected Mountains) approximately 04:30 p.m. we’ll reach Soraypampa (3500 meters or 20.671 feet), where we´ll camp this night.
Our hike for this day is tired, for which we need to bring good trekking shoes and warm clothes for the night and not to carry much luggage.

DAY 2: SORAYPAMPA – HUAYRAQMACHAY – COLPAPAMPA (Salkantay trek)
This day we’ll pass to the feet of Salkantay Peak, we can see lovely geography area just below us. In the place called Salkantay Pass, we’ll have an Inka ceremony, known as Payment to Mother Earth or Pachamama (Jaywarikuy) to ask permission to the god of Salkantay to have a fabulous and unforgettable trip, then we´ll have lunch at a place called Huayrac, then we descend towards Challhuay while following the Salkantay River, at this point we’ll have the opportunity to see the most beautiful Andean landscapes, the campsite for this night is near this place (2900 m approx.).

DAY 3: COLPAPAMPA – PLAYA – SANTA TERESA (Salkantay trek)
After breakfast at 06:30 a.m. we’ll continue walking through the high forest, crossing the Lluskamayo River and a variety of small streams. We’ll pass through magnificent valleys that have wonderful waterfalls, and some tropical plants, fruits, a variety of coca, considered the sacred leaf of the Inca empire, which is grown in tropical areas, the Andean High Forest make most memorable the trip, you’ll see many species of flowers, including orchids and ferns, birds of different colors and you have the opportunity to taste some fruits like passion fruit, orange, banana and others. After lunch in the area called the Playa Sahuayaco, we’ll depart to Santa Teresa, where we can enjoy the hot springs this afternoon, we’ll camp this night in Santa Teresa town.

DAY 4: SANTA TERESA – HIDROELECTRICA – AGUAS CALIENTES. (Salkantay trek)
Our sunrise will be in a tropical area surrounded by nature, after a hearty breakfast, we’ll continue our journey towards Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town), it’ll take about 7 hours to get to this town, we’ll begin our journey passing a beautiful waterfall to continue to Hydroelectric, place where you can enjoy lunch, then we’ll continue towards Machu Picchu town through Mandor Waterfall, and by its gardens showing beautiful and colorful flowers, on the road you’ll appreciate beautiful landscapes full of waterfalls and breathtaking falls surroundings, which come from the glacier, also you’ll appreciate a view of Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu terraces. Finally in the afternoon we’ll get to “Aguas Calientes town”. (Optional visit to the hot springs of Aguas Calientes).

DAY 5: VISIT TO MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO. (Salkantay trek)
This day we will wake up very early and after breakfast we’ll board the first bus 5:30 am to make a 30 minute journey reaching Machu Picchu at 6:00 am to see the impetuous sunrise in Machu Picchu. Here we’ll visit the most important places of Machu Picchu the temples, squares, food storage, the Inti Watana or Sun Clock, the royal tombs and more, all of the built with exquisite level of perfection.
Finished the guided tour you’ll have free time for some hours more to visit Machu Picchu on your own. Finally we’ll return by bus to Aguas Calientes. And in the afternoon we’ll take the train to Ollantaytambo, where our staff is waiting to take you to the city of Cusco.
